ARRIVE hotel on South Main Sean Fisher Mr. Bootstraps Known for its great times, great food, and great history, Memphis is also rapidly becoming known for its great hotels.

A swath of new hotels opened their doors since the last time Australians were able to set foot on Memphis soil, and they are as cool as you’d expect from the city of blues, soul, and rock n roll. The only hotel in the destination’s famed Beale Street, Hyatt Centrics rooms overlooks the city skyline or the Mississippi River. All are within a stone’s throw of the city’s famed entertainment district boasting historic landmarks, lauded music venues, and Memphis-style barbecue.Central Station Hotel Exterior

The Latin-American-inspired on-site restaurant CIMAS boasts an alfresco area with stunning views of the city’s famed Hernando de Soto Bridge. The hotel’s Beck Call Rooftop Lounge is the perfect place to watch the action of Beale Street when you need a break from being right in it. Opening last year and located in the heart of Memphis arts and culture scene, The Memphian pays homage to the culture of its neighbourhood, seamlessly blending eclectic styling with exceptional service.

Two restaurants and a rooftop bar mean that guests would be forgiven for wanting to spend as much time as possible in the hotel despite being in one of the most vibrant cities in the world. A boutique 62-room hotel in the South Main Arts District, the pet-friendly Arrive Memphis is a food destination as much as a fabulous city stay.

The in-house bakery Hustle Dough bakes up bread and pastries daily, whilst the lobby bar Bar Hustle crafts cocktails and the downstairs restaurant, Longshot, is famed for its house-made sausages and the city’s most competitive shuffleboard matches. The Central Station opened its doors just before the pandemic and quickly became a local favourite even when internationals couldn’t get there.
