black steel fenceTourism Ireland has announced the rollout of its new and extensive program of promotional activities under its global Green Button Campaign, which will hit the digital channels, social media and video on demand across Australia in the coming weeks.

Sharing the news in person with key industry stakeholders at an exclusive Sydney lunch function followed by a private screening of MacGillivray Freemans Ireland at Melbournes IMAX theatre, acting CEO Siobhan McManamy said this campaign is the largest integrated campaign Tourism Ireland has ever launched globally.

With the colour green being synonymous with Ireland and the universal colour for go, she said the recovery campaign aims to deliver a very clear book now message by encouraging travellers to press the green button. VP of North America, Australia and New Zealand Alison Metcalfe reinforced that Ireland’s tourism sector is a resilient one, already showing signs of strong recovery with new and impressive experiences including the Game of Thrones Studio Tour, an array of different outdoor activities across Ireland’s blueways and greenways, sustainable food experiences, castle stays and more.

With one of the highest vaccination rates in Europe, 93% of vaccinated, agents and travellers, are reminded that all restrictions have been lifted in Ireland and the island is open for business without capacity constraints.
