In response to the resurgence in interest among Australians to visit the Western Front, leading Australian battlefield tour operator Mat McLachlan Battlefield Tours has launched two new commemorative tours as well as a special offer for travellers planning last-minute holidays to Europe for August 2022.
With many Australians planning last-minute European Summer holidays, Mat McLachlan Battlefield Tours has put together a bonus battlefield book pack for all passengers who travel on the company’s August 2022 Western Front Explorers. Valued at over $200, the pack includes copies of Mat McLachlan’s books Walking with the Anzacs: The authoritative guide to the Australian battlefields of the Western Front and Gallipoli: The Battlefield Guide, as well as titles published by Mat McLachlan’s Living History: After the Blood Cools – The Warrior’s Dilemma by Gary McKay, and The Gallipoli Evacuation by Peter Hart.
A new 4-day, small group Remembrance Day on the Western Front tour is available for 2022 and 2023, providing the opportunity to commemorate this significant anniversary on the battlefields where the Armistice that ended the Great War took place.
The new 4-day, small group Anzac Day in Ypres tour is available now for 2023 bookings, providing an excellent alternative to the company’s 10-day Anzac Day on the Western Front tour for those who have less time or are seeking to experience Anzac Day in a different part of the battlefields.
