Yorke Peninsula Tourism is pleased to announce the release of new marketing collateral to entice South Australian travellers to visit their own backyard and explore everything that Yorke Peninsula has to offer.Chair of Yorke Peninsula Tourism, Craig Costello said “We are thrilled that the 2022 publication and the official Yorke Peninsula Visitor Guide was launched today at the Victorian Caravan, Camping & Touring Supershow in Melbourne.  We are seeing immense growth in travellers from Melbourne and regional Victoria coming to Yorke Peninsula, so attending this key 5-day show and promoting the best of our region to this key market is one of our core activities”.
He added, “Yorke Peninsula is South Australian’s favourite coastal playground and generations of families have been visiting this much-loved region for decades.  Just a 90-minute drive from the city, Yorke Peninsula is a close destination to Adelaide with diverse experiences for everyone to enjoy, and we welcome Australians to explore our backyard and discover the hidden gems of Yorke Peninsula.  Many have fond memories of past holidays and can share those special places with members of their families”.
Manager of Yorke Peninsula Tourism, Lucy O’Brien says “The team has worked extensively on this guide to provide consumers and advertisers with a premium guide that meets the changing demands and expectations of our target markets and potential visitors, and positions Yorke Peninsula as a must-see destination”.
Working with travel writer (and part-time local) Max Anderson, the Yorke Peninsula Visitor Guide has refreshed content throughout, along with a fresh look, redesigned style and updated imagery.
The Visitor Guide covers everything there is to see and do throughout Yorke Peninsula, and has plenty of QR codes, social links and operator contacts for those seeking further information online.  The destination website www.yorkepeninsula.com.au has banner advertising which is linked to the operators website or social media platforms, meaning that a customer can click-through directly to that operator, and we would encourage businesses to ensure they have Google Analytics or other data collection methods set up to track the referrals made from the banner advertising to their business.
Ms O’Brien adds “The growth in demand for domestic and intrastate travel has seen Yorke Peninsula’s visitor expenditure grow over the last 12 months, with tourism now worth $248 million dollars to the region”.
The Yorke Peninsula Visitor Guide is available from all Visitor Information Centres across South Australia, and available digitally and as a PDF download from www.yorkepeninsula.com.au.  The guide can also be sent directly to phones by sending an SMS to 0475 111 222 with Yorke in the message.
