Known for scouting some of the most unique and uncharted corners of the world to set sail, Aqua Expeditions is gearing up to launch their most opulent vessel to date in the breathtaking Galapagos Archipelago, 600 miles off the Ecuadorian coastline.

Beginning operations on June 3rd, the stunning seven-suite Aqua Mare will be the first true superyacht to sail the Galapagos, offering guests the most luxurious seat in the house to experience the beauty of this pristine UNESCO World Heritage Site.

One of the major drawcards of the Galapagos region is that it is a melting pot of diverse wildlife, flora and fauna, and remains one of the richest marine ecosystems in the world.

As you meander through the islands and inlets aboard the elegant Aqua Mare, you’ll get up close and personal with some of the rarest species found nowhere else on earth.

Magnificent marine iguanas, rare waved Albatrosses, playful sea lions and gigantic sea tortoises are only a few of the vast number of species that guests will encounter.

With Aqua Mare’s eight-guests to one-naturalist guide ratio, guests receive the most comprehensive discovery of the archipelagos as they cruise through the Isles, taking in the wonders of the fascinating biodiversity with expert knowledge at hand.

Guests can choose from 7- and 14-night itineraries that explore both the East and West of the islands, tailoring their experience to be as action-packed or laid-back as they like.

The itineraries feature a range of outdoor activities, from guided hikes across some of the world’s most dynamic landscapes, to leisurely strolls along pristine beaches populated only by the resident sea lions.

If this isn’t enough to keep you occupied, the Aqua Mare is fully equipped with top-of-the-line water sports equipment including kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and snorkelling gear, if you’re brave enough to swim with a shiver of hammerhead sharks! Scuba diving can also be added to your itinerary prior to sailing, with the vessel’s dedicated diving partner.

The beauty of the Galapagos is that it can be enjoyed by visitors year-round. “The Galapagos is a truly astounding place to visit any time of the year, as it offers a slightly different experience every season. But what remains consistent is the magical atmosphere of this remote and enchanted Archipelago – and we can’t wait to share this with our guests”, Francesco Galli Zugaro, Aqua Expeditions CEO and Founder.

After days filled with exploring the islands, guests will retreat to the spacious and custom-built comfort of the Aqua Mare. A true representation of design excellence crafted by Italian luxury mega yacht builders, CRN. Ample social spaces, including a sundeck and cinema room, combined with oversized designer suites offer the ultimate luxurious retreat.

Whilst onboard, guests will be treated to exceptional cuisine curated by award-winning and globally recognised Peruvian chef, Pedro Miguel Schiaffino. Chef Schiaffino will deliver a Peruvian Japanese-inspired menu, consisting of only the freshest sustainable ingredients sourced from local suppliers from the Andes of Ecuador.

As the evening falls, guests will feast under the dazzling night skies of the Galapagos, unobscured by light pollution, allowing for a breathtaking show of stars and constellations above.

Known for creating the most luxurious and intimate, small ship experiences, Aqua Expeditions is thrilled to be expanding their fleet with Aqua Mare, which beautifully showcases the company’s steadfast commitment to the experiential travel niche. As with all ships in their fleet, Aqua Mare enjoys an exclusive one-to-one crew to guest ratio, with 14 crew members and 2 naturalist guides on board.

Whether you’ve been planning an extra-special reunion after two or more years apart, or simply longing to spend quality time making unforgettable memories with loved ones, Aqua Mare presents a once in a lifetime experience that will open your eyes to one of the world’s most breathtaking and awe-inspiring destinations.

Rates on Aqua Mare start from USD 9,450 per person for a 7-night itinerary including all meals and beverages (non-alcoholic, premium wines, and beer), local transfer to/from recommended flights; all excursions, Galapagos Park entrance fee and INGALA transit card; laundry service and internet.
