The Rees Hotel, Queenstown announces three key appointments to its Executive Team. Roman Lee-Lo has been appointed as Hotel Manager, while Micka McDonald is appointed to Executive Assistant Manager (EAM) and Fenna Neumann is promoted to Front Office Manager.Roman was promoted to Hotel Manager following his accomplishments over four years as Director of Operations. With over 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, of which 11 in total have been with the property, Roman and his team have helped position The Rees Hotel, Queenstown as one of the premier hotels in New Zealand and Australasia. Roman’s experience and successes in the key areas of guest relations, domestic and international marketing initiatives and media relations have been instrumental in maintaining a consistently excellent level of service, an enviable profile for the property and high guest and  staff satisfaction levels. A strong, positive people culture and development programs advocated by CEO Mark Rose and managed by Roman has seen unparalleled staff retention; an invaluable asset, especially in light of staff shortages due to the pandemic and the ‘great resignation’ phenomena.
Following over six years at The Rees as Front Office Manager, Micka McDonald has been promoted to EAM and, brings over 20 years hospitality experience in her new role. Fenna Neumann replaces Micka as Front Office Manager to lead the daily operations of the Welcome and Departure experience at The Rees.
