Drinks, laughter and debauchery were on the menu for Bernie Dieter’s Club Kabarett VIP Opening Night with Sydney’s hottest names hitting The Rocks for VIP Opening Night to join in on an unforgettable evening of cabaret, farce and fun by the glorious harbourside.
The who’s who of Sydney sashayed across the Famous Spiegeltent’s timber floors to watch Bernie Dieter and her bombastic troupe of bohemians perform including The Block’s 2021 Champions Mitch and Mark, pop princess Seann Miley Moore, CEO of Placemaking NSW Anita Mitchell, Leader of the Opposition in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly Penny Sharpe, Independent Member for Sydney Alex
Greenwich, Labor Party Councillor on the City of Sydney Council Linda
Scott, City of Sydney Councillor Emelda Davis and Sydney Fringe Festival Director Kerri Glasscock. The opening night performance concluded with raucous audience applause and a standing ovation.
Club Kabarett is fast becoming the hottest ticket in town with several shows already sold out, and additional Friday and Saturday night shows added to meet demand.
The Famous Spiegeltent sits within Sydney’s hottest new outdoor bar, the RUNAWAY Gardens which proved the perfect party venue for the evening, spoiling VIP guests with exquisite views alongside delicious food from Food Trap and Aplenty and gorgeous craft beer, wine and gin by Atomic, The Hidden Sea
Wines, and Hickson Rd. Gin respectively.
Next week The Rocks precinct will continue to see a rejuvenation of fantastic cultural events with Sydney Fringe Sideshow (25 Feb – 6 Mar) putting on a 9-night extravaganza of darkly cool comedy, theatre, music, dance, immersive performance, projection and installation works.
