As Melburnians hit the road to venture out across Victoria, ecotourism tiny house company, Tiny Away, has added Little Sprout to its portfolio of rural getaways and it’s ready to welcome travellers looking for an escape from the city.
Little Sprout is set in an idyllic 60-acre olive grove and regenerated eucalyptus forest high in the hills of the Bass Coast hinterland, 90 minutes from Melbourne CBD. This one-off location offers guests stunning views across the fertile farmlands of South Gippsland to Western Port Bay.
To add even more spark to this unique overnight stay, the house is set on the grounds of ‘The Grove’ restaurant and winery. Guests can choose to either dine in the restaurant, grab a picnic hamper, or order takeaway to the tiny house. The house is also surrounded by sculptures, vegetable gardens and animals that roam the estate.
There are wineries, cafes, and sightseeing spots within striking distance, including The Gurdies Nature Conservation Reserve, Phillip Island, Coronet Bay Coastal Walk and nearby Dirty Three Winery.
“We’re excited to welcome guests to Little Sprout. And we’re also proud to say that mobile reception here is poor, so you have a great excuse to disconnect and spend time exploring the property and surrounding regions,” says Jeff Yeo, co-founder of Tiny Away.
The tiny house is a studio space of 155 sq ft and offers guests a comfortable stay with its well-equipped kitchenette, queen-sized bed, ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning and heating. Bathroom facilities follow ecologically sustainable principles including a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin and shower (gas heated for hot showers).
Tiny Away was created for guests to truly disconnect, recharge, and enjoy a minimalist lifestyle with loved ones.
“All the properties offer something different. Some are only semi-secluded and close to shops and activities, and others are in the middle of nowhere,” Yeo added.
