Brought to you by the crew behind the award-winning Wine Island, Greek Island is a three-day holiday festival transforming Clark Island on Sydney Harbour into an oasis of blue and white. From Friday 25 March to Sunday 27 March Greek Island will showcase an epic line up of Greek cuisine, imported wine, beer, spirits and bespoke cocktail bars. Holidaymakers will also be able to discover Mt Olympus for live Greek music and dancing, Santorini Spa for total relaxation or head to the Mykonos seaside stage to party with some of Australia’s best DJs.
The Mediterranean vibes start as soon as all jetsetters board the ferries to travel over seas to Greek Island, receiving a glass of Amuse Rosé from Valley of the Muses, for their short journey.
Once on the island, tourists can feed their curiosity at one of many Greek Tavernas lining the foreshore showcasing Greek Gods such as Peter Conistis (Alpha, and his brand new restaurant Ploos – opening in Summer), along with Kazzi Beach Greek, East 33 oysters, Lambda, Lookoomania and more.  There’ll be an abundance of fried calamari and school prawns, grilled octopus, spanakopita, souvlaki, gyros, loukoumades and other epicurean delights!
Complimentary live cooking demos will also be on offer, pulling the lid off the secrets to the Mediterranean diet.
Wash all this down with the very best of Greek beverages curated by Drink Greek, including premium Greek wines and sparkling from Attica, Arcadia and Macedonia to name a few regions plus beers from Chios Island, Atalanti and more.  Tourists are encouraged to pop into the infamous ‘Yia Yia’s Bar’ where our mixologists have created incredible cocktails with a Greek Twist, everything from  ‘Santorini Sunset’ to the ‘Mykonos Mule’. Dedicated Frouzo (the Greek reply to Frosé),  Ouzo and Tsipouro bars along with a  Fever Tree Greek Island Spritz bar to round out the European  experience.
Bringing the world-famous day party vibes of Mykonos to our Greek Island will be DJs Tigerlily, Jolyon Petch & Discovery (Daft Punk Tribute) or for a more authentic experience tourists can take the old stone step path up to Mount Olympus and get their Greek on with live traditional music and dancing.
Depending on your holiday style, guests can choose to enjoy some pampering, by making their way to the ‘Santorini Spa by Blys’ located in a quiet secluded area on the island hilltop for massage treatments but if you prefer an adrenaline filled holiday, then be sure to jump aboard the Oz Boat Jet rides for a thrill ride around the harbour.  (Both experiences are available as a holiday add-on).
Greek Island ambassador and Chef, Peter Conistis says “I’m so excited to be part of such an amazing event coming to Sydney in 2022. The magic of recreating a touch of the Greek Islands right it the middle of Sydney harbour will be truly breathtaking. Three days of Greek food and wine is what we call “Filoxenia” – a state of mind and a way of life that Greeks have been nurturing over the centuries and are excited to share with everyone in Sydney next year.”
