LGBTQ multi coloured flags under white skyAs the festive season begins, we hope you’re able to be with friends and family to relax, celebrate, and share some long-awaited time together. In this edition, we want to give you some summer travel adventures to think about. We look at a few of the great pride festivals happening around Australia in the coming months, as well as great travel experiences on offer from our proud GALTA members.
Fab regional pride at Coastal Twist
Coastal Twist is a five-day jam-packed LGBTIQ festival on New South Wales’ Central Coast. A bright and bold program of free and ticketed events drew close to 8,000 people to the Central Coast Peninsula in October 2019 and COVID cancelled for 2020 – but it’s back.
The 2022 program, running from January 19-23, features Cabaret, Film, Live Music, Dance Party, Art Exhibition, Youth Dance Party, Beach Party across the Peninsula Hubs of Umina Beach, Woy Woy and Ettalong Beach and Gosford.
“We’re forging ahead with our plans to deliver something special, something necessary and something we can all celebrate together. We cannot wait to bring the community together and show our best side to visitors from far and wide,” festival director Glitta Supernova said.
“Let’s make this a time to get back to the connection to all things vibrant, wonderful, challenging and surprising. Above all Coastal Twist Festival is a celebration and opportunity to engage across the diverse and divine spectrum of humanity.”

Pineapple Tours are brewing up some funPineapple Tours provide group winery and brewery tours from the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Byron Bay with the newest luxury coaches on the market.
