Melco Resorts & Entertainment (Melco) and the Women’s General Association of Macau (Women’s Association) co-hosted the second Best Mom Award yesterday.
The event celebrates the virtues of women – paying tribute to maternal love and promoting positive family values – serving as a platform to show gratitude and appreciation towards women and motherhood, which is in alignment with Melco’s objective to inspire women to become the ‘Best I Can Be’ – to embrace life’s choices to bring out the best in oneself through the Company’s Women’s Initiatives philosophy.
This year, 10 Best Mom Excellence Award winners were recognized and awarded a Studio City experience package. A newly-added Best Anti-Pandemic Mom Award was presented in recognition of selfless motherly love during the pandemic.
Dr. Kent Wong, Chief Advisor of Melco, Ms. Un Sio Leng and Ms. Wong Kit Cheng, Vice President of Women’s General Association of Macau welcomed the winners and their families to the event.
Ms. Akiko Takahashi, Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff to Chairman & CEO of Melco Resorts & Entertainment, said, “It’s an honor to collaborate with Women’s General Association of Macau for the second consecutive year on the Best Mom Awards. As part of Melco’s corporate social responsibilities pillar focused on Women’s Initiatives, our goal is to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of women and moms in Macau. We will continue to inspire women to embrace life’s choices to bring out the best in oneself through our ‘Best I Can Be’ women’s initiatives philosophy. Congratulations to all the winning contestants on their wonderful achievements and contributions to their families and society.”
Ms. Wong Kit Cheng, Vice President of the Women’s General Association of Macau, said, “Since its establishment 71 years ago, Women’s General Association of Macau has been devoted to caring for women and children and promoting positive family and social values. We are glad to join hands once again with Melco Resorts & Entertainment to commend outstanding mothers who contribute tirelessly and selflessly while conveying positive energy. The event has been very well received by local families. We look forward to further establishing the Women’s Association as a reliable ‘women’s home’, as we continue to collaborate with the government, corporations, and other parties from the community to promote a family-friendly culture, and to work hand in hand with the community’s Best Moms to build happy and healthy homes.”
