The Travel Corporation (TTC) is thrilled to launch its highly successful Costsaver brand in Australia and New Zealand, with three new trips now available and an extensive collection soon to be unveiled.

“We are absolutely thrilled to launch Costsaver Down Under as it offers guests so many new travel options in the post-Pandemic world,” says Katrina Barry, Managing Director of Costsaver. “For many travellers, independent touring is the way forward – and Costsaver gives them all the building blocks to tailor their dream trip – it’s the ultimate unpackaged holiday.”

Launching in 2015 across TTC’s international markets, Costsaver’s ‘Essentials by Us, Tailored by You’ approach pairs the flexibility of independent travel with the convenience of having the essentials and well-being protocols taken care of by an expert. Offering 77 trips across 56 countries, Costsaver provides the fundamentals – such as quality three and four-star accommodation, comfortable transport, and the services of an expert Travel Director – alongside Choice Optional Experiences, enabling guests to customise their trip. With more than 500 Optional Experiences on offer, guests can fully tailor just how much, or how little, they do on every holiday.

“The Costsaver way demonstrates how one trip fits many – guests are given everything they need for their ultimate holiday as well as the tools to tailor it to perfection,” Barry continues. “So, they can enjoy the ease and comfort of a guided holiday with the freedom and flexibility of independent travel – and it’s all at a great value price point.”

With international borders opening, Costsaver is thrilled to launch three new fully customisable itineraries across New Zealand and Australia for 2022-23. “While some travellers are ready to visit every far-flung corner of the world, many are still enjoying exploring closer to home,” Barry says. “And with Costsaver they can discover their own backyard in the same way that international visitors do – with exclusive experiences that everyday travellers won’t necessarily have easy access to.”

Costsaver’s three new trips in New Zealand and Australia are now available to book for departures in 2022-23:

  • Essence of Southern New Zealand, 7 days. Journeying from Christchurch to all the highlights of the South Island, including Queenstown, the Central Otago region, Mount Cook, Franz Josef and beyond, guests can take their pick of iconic experiences at every point of their journey. Options include Milford Sound daytrips, 4WD tours, winery visits, jetboating, white-water rafting, bungy jumping, Lord of the Rings tours, cycling adventures, spa treatments and scenic helicopter flights over jaw-dropping glaciers.
  • Tropical Cairns & the Great Barrier Reef, 6 days. Combining the very best of Tropical North Queensland’s natural playgrounds with excellent food and cultural adventures, this itinerary offers guests a range of options, including sailing trips; Daintree Rainforest tours, helicopter flights, bungy jumping, hot-air ballooning, dining tours and a chance to explore the wilderness by SkyRail.
  • Cosmopolitan Sydney & Melbourne, 9 days. Explore Australia’s most colourful cities – and the intriguing country towns between them – on one epic itinerary that includes nights in Sydney, Canberra, Wangaratta and Melbourne. There are countless options for excursions but some of the more iconic include helicopter tours of Sydney Harbour, sunrise hot air balloon flights over Melbourne, Phillip Island penguin experiences, foodie tours, surf lessons, BridgeClimb, self-drive boating on Lake Burleigh Griffin, and discovering the intriguing heritage of Gold Rush towns in the High Country.

“We couldn’t be more excited to launch Costsaver with this collection of trips – and we will keep adding new local and international itineraries to Costsaver’s portfolio to meet the rising demand,” says Barry. “For now, each of these fantastic trips is available to book and we can’t wait to see how our guests customise them!”
