STAGE AND SCREEN, the iconic entertainment travel company that is essential to delivering the most incredible experiences to audiences in Australia and across the globe, has presented the prestigious Civoniceva Medal at the 2021 QRL (Queensland Rugby League) Awards.

General Manager Adam Moon had the pleasure of presenting Wynnum Manly Seagulls Hooker Jayden Berrell with the medal, alongside Petero Civoniceva himself, an honour bestowed for best and fairest in the Intrust Super Cup.

“We have been entrusted as the QRL’s travel partner for a decade and it was my absolute privilege to have presented this prestigious award to Jayden Berrell – a deserved winner,” Mr Moon said.

“During the COVID-19 pandemic, Queensland has been in the fortunate position to welcome crowds regularly to both NRL and QRL games, providing raucous entertainment for sports fans across the country – we’re delighted to have been able to facilitate travel up and down the state for the QRL.

“We pride ourselves on being able to overcome any hurdle. There’s no doubt planning to win starts long before you take to the field and the same can be said of successful trips across a season. This is just the start, with our teams working tirelessly to also deliver the upcoming QRL Country Week.”

QRL Managing Director Rob Moore hailed the great 10-year relationship between the governing body for the game of rugby league in Queensland and the iconic entertainment travel company.

“Stage and Screen came on board as a partner of ours six months after I started, and up until that point it was a bit of a battle with our travel arrangements and everything else, they have just made everything so simple – it has been a great relationship over the years,” Mr Moore said.

“We have probably doubled the volume going through Stage and Screen during that time because we have increased the number of teams and the number of competitions and boosted our travel volumes so it has been a great partnership for us.

“The service has been really good throughout with our dedicated travel manager and it just makes it so easy when you have a relationship with someone within the business you’re partnering with – whatever we need to be done gets done, whenever we need it to be done – it’s just great service.

“We had a lot of travel interruptions and late changes and when we go into a lockdown at 10:00am on a Saturday morning and we have teams already travelling and due to travel – it takes something and someone special to be able to manage that – we have always had that with Stage and Screen.”
