Extraordinary Journeys, the award-winning tour operator and adventure travel specialist, in partnership with renowned Antarctica expert White Desert, has launched ‘Emperor’s & South Pole,’ an all-new, eight-day expedition to ‘The Last Continent.’ Unlike Antarctica itineraries of the past, this epic journey emphasizes comfort, including accommodation at the brand-new Wolf’s Fang Explorer Camp, which offers luxe accommodations and the option to enjoy relaxing wellness activities in addition to active and adventure experiences. This itinerary offers the ultimate way to enjoy what the seventh continent offers while remaining environmentally conscious of preserving this pristine part of the planet.

Emperor’s & South Pole kicks off from Cape Town with a five-hour private flight across the Southern Ocean in a Gulfstream 500 before landing in the 24-hour daylight of the Antarctic summer. Antarctica has captivated imaginations for years, with only a few intrepid explorers accessing its interior. This surreal and majestic land offers iridescent ice tunnels, unbroken horizons, shimmering icebergs and towering rock spires that make it a place unlike anywhere else on Earth.
Basecamp for the week is the new Wolf’s Fang Explorer Camp; an exclusive luxury camp that consists of only six guest sleeping tents, a spacious communal tent with an adjoining kitchen, and a recently refurbished restroom facility. Each of the camp’s guest areas is heated to provide the ultimate and most comfortable Antarctica experience possible. The communal tent and adjoining kitchen house an intimate lounge outfitted with rich leather finishes and a dining room where meals are served and enjoyed. Wolf Fang’s chef prepares freshly baked bread every morning before the day’s activities and each day concludes with a nightcap of choice.

Each adventure can take a maximum of 12 guests, and professional guides ensure individuals are safely enjoying everything the destination has to offer. The camp offers something for everyone, whether choosing to participate in adrenaline-fueled experiences like climbing, fat-tire biking, or abseiling, or opting for more relaxed experiences such as a picnic followed by a sauna and massage, available exclusively at Whichaway Oasis.
