Wild Luxury is offering families to stay seven nights and pay for five at their two family friendly luxury properties – Calabash Bay Lodge and Crane Lodge.

After having her own school holidays cancelled due to lockdown, owner Kim Ellis is keen to provide a deal to families who want to plan and book a week long getaway for when the time is right to travel again.

“From a business perspective, the lockdown has been a challenging time. But from a mum’s perspective, it was a real shame that families have missed out on spending quality time together away from home,” said Ellis.

In addition to a flexible booking policy, Kim has released a deal where families who book by 30 July for travel between 1 August and 17 December can stay for seven nights and only pay for five. Each booking is entitled to one free postponement within 12 months. Further deferrals can be made for an administration fee. Lead in prices start at $1395 per night at Calabash Bay Lodge and $2200 per night at Crane Lodge.

Kim’s focus is on family friendly luxury and enriching experiences over opulence. Through bespoke artworks, interior design by Carole Whiting and outdoor spaces including regenerated native bush, Wild Luxury properties focus on taking in the surrounding natural environments.

Calabash Bay Lodge, Berowra Waters

Less than an hour from Sydney and accessible exclusively by water or air, Calabash Bay Lodge is a sanctuary boasting unencumbered views of the Hawkesbury River, punctuated only by the private jetty. Flanked by national parks and surrounded by ancient Sydney sandstone, Calabash Bay Lodge is a true escape where guests can immerse themselves in the natural landscape whilst enjoying the luxuries of the lodge. Each of its four bedrooms, and all living areas, look out to the riverfront, allowing guests to intuitively connect to the calming nature of the river. An onsite chef means guests maximise their time in nature, kayaking, walking, fishing, paddle boarding or yoga on the lodge’s rooftop wellness studio. In the cooler months, guests can warm up by the open fire or snuggle up reading a book in one of the hanging chairs or a hammock.

Crane Lodge, Palm Beach

Hanging in the lush canopy of Sydney’s Northern Beaches is Wild Luxury’s newest property, Crane Lodge. Suspended at the apex of endangered angophora bushland and immersed in 360 degrees of lush wilderness, guests are transported to a world away from the hustle of the everyday. The five bedroom lodge features an open outdoor fire pit that looks across the canopy, a heated swimming pool, 38 degree cedar hot tub, large outdoor dining area and a self-contained guest house allowing extra privacy for large groups. There is no limit to the opportunities to relax at Crane Lodge – the concierge service can arrange a masseuse, beautician, onsite chef or private sunrise yoga and meditation classes on the deck. Elevating the wellness experience, Crane Lodge’s landscaping design features an impressive array of natives endemic to the area, including twenty-five endangered Pittwater spotted gums, with the intention of creating a ‘forest bathing’ experience for guests.
