Vaccine tourism is fetching the spotlight quickly as people are becoming more aware of the packages. As a result, more companies and countries are likely to come up with attractive vaccine tourism packages.

Countries with vaccine tourism

Maldives: Maldives plans on implementing vaccine tourism once all its citizens are vaccinated. The country plans of luring international tourists with the “3V plan: visit, vaccinate, vacation”.

Russia: Russia has launched their vaccination tours. The price of a three-week vaccine tour for international travellers will range between USD1,500 and USD2,500, excluding airline costs. However, the visas and entry requirements for international visitors are holding up the progress.

USA: Several cities and states in the US are permitting travellers to get vaccinated. Earlier this year, Alaska had announced that it would provide free vaccine shots to visitors upon arrival. New York announced that it would promote vaccination sites in tourist spots like Central Park, High Line and Brooklyn Bridge.

UAE: The United Arab Emirates has also launched vaccine tourism. They are offering free vaccine shots to everyone with an entry visa. In addition, visitors can book either the US-German Pfizer/BioNTech shot or the Chinese-made vaccine Sinopharm.

Benefits of vaccine tourism

Vaccine tourism is also medical tourism. That is very beneficial for people who are unable to access vaccines in their own countries as demand is more than supply. No one knows when the world will reach the doors of normalcy. Until then, while the travel industry needs to sustain, people need to get their lives back on track. Vaccine tourism seems like a golden opportunity to facilitate this.
