In an effort to provide travellers with more flexibility than ever before, G Adventures is announcing updated booking conditions for its travellers, with rebooking of itineraries possible up to just 14 days before their tour’s departure date.

G Adventures’ ‘Book with Confidence’ policy is now one of the most flexible cancellation policies in the industry, with conditions that apply to tours booked from 01 July, 2021 up until 31 December, 2021, for departure dates up until 31 December, 2022.

Sean Martin, managing director for G Adventures, says he believes the relaxation of the Book with Confidence policy gives Australian and Kiwi travellers the additional security they need to feel confident to lock in their international holiday dates for 2022, while global supply is still available.

“We want to give our travellers a trip to look forward to when borders reopen. We believe that being able to change their dates up to 14 days before they leave will encourage people to book the trip they have been dreaming of, for when they are able to travel,” says Martin.

“At G Adventures, we have been running trips since September 2020, and have 165 departures in July and more than 200 in August. As soon as travellers are able to travel, we are ready to take them on a life-changing adventure. We anticipate demand is going to return very fast, so if people want to book a trip, and know when they want to go, now is the time to lock in those dates while spaces are available. Our international travel pals will be booking up a storm, and we don’t want Aussies and Kiwis to miss out on their 2022 adventures.”

For the first time since G Adventures restarted operations in September 2020, Ecuador, Jordan, Portugal, South Africa and Spain appear on the departures list for July, 2021. They join Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Egypt, Greece, Iceland, Mexico, Montenegro, Morocco, Tanzania, Turkey and the United States; all countries that have slowly been opening their doors for travellers around the world who are eligible to travel.

Example itineraries that can be booked with the new Book with Confidence Policy include:

  • Walking the Camino de Santiago – On this eight-day trip, complete the last 100 km of the pilgrimage route to Santiago and receive a “compostela” at the finish. Refuel with tasty Spanish food and take the time to stop and smell the flowers – it’s active but at a slower, more picturesque pace. Priced from $1,499pp** for an eight-day trip from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela.

  • Highlights of Portugal – Get your fill of history and culture at UNESCO World Heritage Sites like the Monastery of Batalha, Coimbra University, and the picturesque town of Sintra (optional). End the tour in Porto, where the majestic Douro Valley begs for you to lounge back with a glass of port wine in hand. Priced from $1,659pp for a seven-day trip from Lisbon to Porto.

  • Highlights of Jordan  – Explore ancient sights and lost cities, overnight in a Bedouin tent and dine amidst the dramatic desert scenery of Wadi Rum. Take in Petra’s fascinating history and marvel at its thrilling beauty, and still have a chance to relax in the therapeutic waters of the Dead Sea. An eight-day trip from Amman return is priced from $1,599pp.

  • Galapagos – South and East Islands aboard the Yolita – The southern and eastern islands play host to some of the best snorkelling spots within the Galápagos, including Islote Champion and Kicker Rock, where you will see some of the most diverse and impressive marine life around. Relax on the white-sand beaches with iguanas and sea lions, then head to Punta Pitt in search of three distinct species of booby. A seven-day trip from Quito return is priced from $4,699pp.
