Australia-based travel sales and marketing consultancy, Linkd Tourism, has been appointed by the Arizona Office of Tourism to represent the State on several initiatives across Australia and New Zealand in the lead up to international travel resuming.

Most famous for being the home of the breathtaking Grand Canyon National Park – which is echoed cheekily in its brand messaging, “Life On A Grander Scale” – Arizona is also a State brimming with cultural significance, culinary delights, and some of America’s most sought-after wellness resorts, spas, hiking trails, and golf courses.

The State has continued to show its support of the Australian and New Zealand industry over the years, as a valued member of the Visit USA organisation and through several events and functions, including the Halloween themed Spooky Soiree events and mission run in conjunction with Colorado Tourism Office in 2019.

Linkd Tourism’s Carolyn Nightingale will lead the State’s initiatives over the coming months including hosting several webinars and producing locally relevant contact for the Australian and New Zealand travel

trade highlighting the States many National Parks, Monuments and great outdoors experiences; its American Indian legacy; its tasty culinary wonders and wine trails; along with its oh-so-relaxing wellness resorts and retreats.

Of the appointment, Becky Blaine, Deputy Director of the Arizona Office of Tourism, commented “Prior to COVID, we’d seen increasing numbers of Australian and New Zealand visitors coming to explore the State. In fact, during the past decade, visits increased 62% from 2009-2019. As we inch closer to international travel resuming, we knew the time was right to re-enter the market and show our appreciation of the outstanding support provided by Australian and New Zealand agents over the past year.  We have some great initiatives planned over the coming months, and we’re excited to have the Linkd Tourism team bring them “Down Under” to help inspire travellers to visit the Grand Canyon State once international borders re-open.”

Kylee Kay, Managing Director of Linkd Tourism, added “We are thrilled to be welcoming Arizona to the Linkd Tourism family.  All you have to do is look at some of the stunning photos of this incredible State to be instantly enamored with the breathtaking scenery it has to offer.  We know Australian and New Zealand travellers are going to be drawn to self-drive itineraries that take them further afoot into the USA’s great outdoors post COVID, so we are confident they’re going to fall in love with everything there is to see and do in this unique State. We can’t wait to share just some of what’s on offer with Australian and New Zealand agents over the coming months.”

Agents who wish to make sure they are notified of any activity to be conducted by the State over the coming months are encouraged to sign up for the Linkd Tourism database here.
