It’s the iconic catchphrase from the world famous Imperial Leather commercial that put Tahiti on the wish list of millions. Many still remember the ridiculously wealthy pair who could luxuriate in Cussons Imperial Leather bubbles flying high in a Concorde private jet, and by saying just two words to the captain they were able to redirect their travels to the “nice” destination of Tahiti.

So iconic in fact was this TVC that it was rebooted in 2011, and as we’re coming up to its 10 year anniversary – and as the borders are opening to tourism to French Polynesia on 1st May – we can say with certainty that Tahiti does look very nice indeed.

While not everyone has the option of travelling in their own private jet, The Islands of Tahiti retains its appeal as the true definition of a tropical holiday. Many Australians can’t wait to travel overseas once the borders have opened on our end, and destinations such as Tahiti will hopefully be one of the first places we go to.

It’s not difficult to understand why The Islands of Tahiti is such a sought after destination, with strikingly beautiful nature ranging from lush jungles and high mountain peaks to vibrant coral reefs. The 118 islands offer every possible type of holiday imaginable, where you can be as active – or inactive – as you like, plus accommodation options ranging from guesthouses run by local familiar, to yacht charters in the blue lagoons, and even camping, makes this a destination suitable for every type of traveller.

Simply said, it’s safe to say that Tahiti still looks nice.
