The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, is pleased to unveil its incredible experiences for families and young guests through its Ritz Kids program. Designed for those ages 4 to 12, the program uses four pillars—land, water, environmental responsibility and culture—to create a schedule of daily activities including bike rides, pottery lessons, cooking classes and more. The experience is based out of the Ritz Kids Club, a futuristic indoor-outdoor space with playgrounds, napping pods, an area for video games and movies, and a pool with slides and jets.
The Ritz Kids program will establish the resort as a leading family destination and ensure children will enjoy safe and fun filled activities throughout the stay. Upon arrival, young guests will receive the resort’s trademark activity passport and embark on an exciting journey to engage in the resort’s bespoke and creatively stimulating activities.
With an extensive list of activities encompassing the Ritz Kids program, the resort has developed a combination that are rooted in the four pillars, utilizing the Ritz Kids Club facilities as well as the surrounding environment of the resort grounds. The Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment Program brings an unmatched aspect to Ritz Kids programming, the first of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region – created to carry on Cousteau’s family tradition of ocean conservation and education. The program inspires guests to connect with world around them in hopes that they will work towards preserving it for future generations. The program will highlight the Maldives’ rich culture and unique ecosystem and work in tandem with the Ritz Kids programming including a signature Ritz Kids treasure hunt, a family cooking class, a chance to make a Maldivian Boduberu drum, a bike safari around resort, and an Ocean Mystery program with an Ambassador’s Naturalist.
The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands strives to create lasting memories for kids by providing immersive, bespoke and creatively stimulating activities. While the Ritz Kids programming is primarily designed for children, there are plenty of exciting areas of discovery for teens on property, including an exciting photo studio experience.
The Shutterfish studio offers weekly classes, a daily genius bar, as well as rentals of all equipment related to holiday and high-end photography. Available classes focus on specialist areas such as low light and star photography, light painting, photoshop and lightroom editing all of which are designed to enrich the guest experience during their stay. Shutterfish staff are expert drone cinematographers, and also offer photo sessions on weekly basis. The resort also offers plenty of other options for teens including access to PlayStation and Wii gaming systems as well as a gaming room with table tennis, football, billiards and board games.
