The Rees Hotel Queenstown will continue their highly successful Culinary Series Events in 2021.

With New Zealanders now able to travel within the country without restriction, and the ‘bubble’ with Australia to hopefully open soon, The Rees is excited to welcome guests to extend their repertoire and enjoyment of fine wines and creative seasonal dishes from the executive chef of The Rees’ True South Dining Room, Corey Hume who was recently awarded the highly coveted Australasian Hotel Chef of the Year award for 2019 (by HM Magazine).

These intimate and exclusive culinary wine events have attracted discerning foodies, gourmands and wine-lovers along with top food and wine writers each year. Stay for the dinner only or stay the night (or the weekend) in the lap of Rees luxury with a residential package. Guests will indulge in some of the best cuisine and wine New Zealand has to offer, while taking part in thought-provoking conversation surrounding viticulture, local produce, and the wine industry. At the end of the night, retreat to your stylish Executive Lake View Hotel Room. In the morning, enjoy a full cooked breakfast and take in sweeping views of Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables Mountains from your balcony.

This year’s events kicked off in January as Chef Hume created five courses paired with five wines from one of Central Otago’s pioneering vineyards, Rippon. Hosted by The Rees’s Wine Director, Mark Rose & Rippon’s Winemaker, Nick Mills, with food pairings by award winning Executive Chef, Corey Hume, the event was a sell-out and the menu and food pairings spectacular.

If this has you and your taste buds excited, don’t miss out! Here are The Rees’ upcoming events for the culinary travel diary
