Global escorted tour company, Globus family of brands (GFOB) – consisting of river cruising operator Avalon Waterways, coach touring companies Globus and Cosmos and independent touring brand Monograms, is venturing into a new market with the appointment of Joyce Weir as the National Business Development Manager – MICE.  Effective immediately, Joyce will oversee and drive the growth of GFOB’s MICE business within the Australian market, utilising GFOB’s vast product offering and logistical expertise in Australia and overseas.

Joyce has more than 20 years’ experience in the tourism industry and has been responsible for developing the groups and incentives market for leading companies including Qantas and Hawaiian Airlines. Starting her career in public relations, Joyce is a well-known face within the industry with extensive experience across account management, business development, revenue analysis, customer service and training.
