Luxury European river cruise line, Riviera Travel River Cruises, will debut a new VIP guest program in 2022 called Riviera Plus which offers premium suite passengers luxury additions designed to enhance the enjoyment of their five-star cruise.
From next year, guests booked in deluxe and superior suites and all upper-deck cabins will receive a host of complimentary benefits including use of a smart handset with maps, translator, currency converter, unlimited calls, text messages and internet service for use onboard or ashore. Premium suite guests will also receive L’Occitane en Provence luxury toiletries, a bottle of chilled Prosecco on arrival, a platter of fresh seasonal fruits during the cruise and a refreshing aperitif each evening.
Riviera Travel River Cruises recently fast-tracked the early release in Australia of selected departures across Europe for 2022. Now available are 114 sailings across 11 itineraries across Europe in 2022 – around one third of the entire 2022 program which will be released imminently.
In 2022, Riviera Travel’s 10 luxury ships will offer a total of 20 itineraries across Europe including journeys along the Rhine, Moselle, Danube, Seine, Rhone and Douro rivers. Riviera Travel is also renowned for looking after solo travellers, with dedicated solo cabins and also solo-only departures with no single supplement. Riviera Travel’s fleet of 10 luxury ships is also one of the youngest in Europe, with almost all ships less than three years old.
The 2022 program will feature Riviera Travel’s latest five-star river ship, the 169-guest Geoffrey Chaucer, named after the 14th Century poet. The all-suite ship offers spacious staterooms – most with French balconies – a panoramic lounge, two restaurants, gourmet, locally inspired cuisine, gym and plunge pool (heated, jacuzzi-like in winter).
Fares in 2022 start at A$1799 per person, twin-share, or also for solo guests (subject to cabin availability) for a five-day cruise. Fares include daily land excursions. To offer guests confidence and peace of mind when booking, Riviera Travel recently launched its new ‘Holiday Happiness Guaranteed’ program – a flexible customer care policy which offers free changes to new bookings, fast Covid cancellation and curtailment protection and a best price promise. The program also features a happiness guarantee which enables any customer unhappy by day two of the cruise to receive assistance to change their air ticket, depart the ship early and fly home, receiving a full cruise refund. Riviera Travel will also pay the air ticket change fees and fare increase if applicable.
