Sydney Seafood School is now offering even more chances for guests to learn how to cook Australia’s freshest seafood, announcing that their face to face, hands-on cooking experiences have returned after a 2020 hiatus.Last year’s COVID-19 restrictions saw Sydney Seafood School transition to virtual classes, called SSS@Home. Providing home-delivery of ultra-fresh ingredients, innovative recipes, and expert virtual instructions, the initiative saw incredible success.

However, the Seafood School has revealed that its team is now ready to welcome guests back in person as well, re-opening the doors to their state-of-the-art kitchens at Sydney Fish Market for an exciting, premium cooking experience.

The Seafood School’s new ultra-exclusive in-person classes will teach guests how to cook some of their most popular dishes: Singaporean Chilli Crab, a spectacular seafood barbeque (featuring fish, prawns and squid), or a great array of Spanish tapas (including what they claim to be the best garlic prawns ever).

Classes have space for only ten groups of two or four, with each group able to enjoy their own fully-equipped cooking island, and a table in the dining room to enjoy their creations with a glass of wine.

The School’s manager, Roberta Muir, said, “The Seafood School team is so excited to be welcoming guests back to SSS after a break of almost 12 months. We’ve used the time to reimagine what our hands-on cooking experiences can be, and are committed to offering a truly memorable experience on every level.

All events will start with our house-made seafood canapes and a glass of wine or beer, before guests get into our popular three-step experience: watch it, cook it, eat it.

We’ve taken things up a notch in the dining room as well: we’ll set and clear all tables, there’ll be table service for wine and coffee, and everyone’s meal will end with a beautiful Zokoko artisanal chocolate for dessert!”

The one-of-a-kind experience costs an all-inclusive $420 per couple or $740 for a group of four.

But that’s not all: for those who’d prefer to keep cooking with the Seafood School in the comfort of their own home, SSS@Home loyalty packs and individual kits are still on offer, for just $52.50 (generously feeding two). Upcoming recipe kits include a traditional Cantonese whole steamed fish, a relaxing Mediterranean barbeque with Tuscan salad, and a delicious Italian Fritto Misto.

Whether you’re cooking at their place or yours, the Sydney Seafood School team continues to inspire their guests’ seafood feasts, encouraging everyone to eat well, together!
