EPICUREAN INDULGENCE AT SHISEN HANTEN BY CHEN KENTARO

Choose from any of Shisen Hanten by Chen Kentaro’s bespoke, auspiciously-themed set menus—from the eight-course Prosperity menu at $138++ per person for a minimum of two persons, to the nine-course Majestic menu at $298++ per person for a minimum of six persons. Notable highlights include Braised Bird’s Nest with Crab Meat and Crab Roe in Superior Broth, Barbecued Boneless Suckling Pig, andSautéed Half-lobster in Yuzu Butter Sauce.

Adding to this year’s line-up of Chinese New Year creations is the Poached Dumpling stuffed with Minced Kurobuta Pork and Porcini Mushroom; Double-boiled Chicken Consommé with Greater Burdock, Baby Abalone, Dried Scallop and Red Date; and Stewed Mala Beef Brisket and Tendon in Claypot.

The dumplings with aromatic stuffing are poached to perfection then drizzled with vinaigrette—making an appetising start to any meal. The dumpling skin is also specially made using red yeast rice flour to create the auspicious red hue.

Also making a debut is the Double-boiled Chicken Consommé that uses greater burdock, baby abalone, dried scallops, and red date to create a rich, nourishing bowl of goodness that is sure to impress with each mouthful.

The Stewed Mala Beef Brisket and Tendon in Claypot incorporates the signature flavours of Szchewan cuisine. Briskets are stewed until tender in a mala sauce for that distinct kick.

LUNAR NEW YEAR TAKEAWAY GOODIES FROM SHISEN HANTEN BY CHEN KENTARO

Back this year are perennial favourites such as Baby Abalone Fortune Pot, Prosperity Salmon Yu Sheng, and Steamed Yam Cake with Dried Scallops.

Shisen Hanten’s rendition of the classic fortune pot is a combination of 20 premium delicacies that include dried oyster, fish maw, and Chinese sausage. Every purchase of this decadent Baby Abalone Fortune Pot is accompanied by a complimentary serving of Salmon Yusheng, and Glutinous Rice with Dried Sausages for four to six persons.

Other festive highlights include Hokkaido Pumpkin Steamed Nian GaoGolden Pineapple Ingots, and Walnuts coated with Honey. A new addition and ideal choice for gifting is the Duo Treasures Mini Nian Gao, featuring new flavours such as traditional red sugar and Japanese pumpkin.

REUNION FEASTS AT TRIPLE THREE

Award-winning, Japanese-inspired Triple Three presents an extensive selection of Lunar New Year specials such as Braised Mini Abalone, Fish Maw, and Sea Cucumber; Wok-fried Slipper Lobster in Fragrant Spicy and Sweet Sauce; and Glutinous Rice wrapped in Lotus Leaf.

Other highlights to look forward to include Pan-seared Foie Gras with Truffle Miso, Roasted Lamb Rack, Unagi Don, and Teppanyaki Wagyu Beef. Another fan favourite would be the baked Boston lobster that is topped with a decadent layer of uni sauce.

Toss to an auspicious start with the restaurant’s Salmon Yusheng platter available at $58++ for 4 persons, and $108++ for 8 persons. On the eve of Lunar New Year, all tables will be provided a complimentary portion of Yusheng so that diners can toss to prosperity with their loved ones.
