There has never been a better time for travellers to make their ‘retravel’ arrangements ahead of international travel restarting around the world. G Adventures is kicking off the New Year with a healthy dose of optimism, and some incredible deals, for those making their future far-flung travel plans from the comfort of their couches this January.

With savings up to 30 per cent, $1 upfront deposits and 21 per cent off My Own Room options, The Great Adventure Sale includes more than 450 tour options across the small group adventure operator’s 18-to-Thirtysomethings, Active, Classic, Family, Local Living, Marine, Rail and Wellness travel styles.

Running until 11.59 pm EST on January 31, 2021, the discounts are available on tours departing between January 01, 2021, and June 30, 2022.

Featuring once-in-a-lifetime trips like traversing the Arctic aboard G Expedition, sailing in Cuba and Greece, taking a wildlife-focused tour in the Amazon jungle, and hiking epic trails in Peru and Patagonia, The Great Adventure Sale offers a slice of adventure to suit every traveller. For those looking for an adventure with a slower pace, the Local Living travel style means only unpacking once and truly getting to know a place and its local people.

With flexibility top of mind, and recognising that plans may need to change, all bookings made during The Great Adventure Sale benefit from G Adventures’ flexible ‘Book with Confidence’ policy, which enables travellers to cancel and rebook their trip up to 30 days before departure.

With some travellers feeling more comfortable booking private accommodation options as they venture out into the world again, The Great Adventure Sale offers a 21 per cent discount on the ‘My Own Room’ option for those looking for their own space. Additionally, all G Adventures trips feature heightened health and safety measures as part of the new Travel with Confidence policy, and a number of trips featured in the sale are included in the Travel with Confidence Plus collection, which offers additional physical distancing.

David Green, VP Commercial at G Adventures, says recent sales indicate there is pent-up demand amongst travellers, and the launch of The Great Adventure Sale gives agents the opportunity to capture bookings while travellers look to lock in their next holiday.

“We’ve also introduced a number of policies to help agents reassure travellers and to offer maximum flexibility during these changeable times. Agents can help travellers feel confident in booking their next trip, with the reassurance and peace of mind that they can change the date should they need to further down the line.

“Our advice to travel agents, if they haven’t already done so, is to start marketing to their clients now. We’ve seen an increase in bookings and now is the time for agents to be actively promoting travel again to hold on to their share of the pie. As a starting point, for any traveller who has a Future Travel Credit (FTC), now is the time for those credits to be used to take advantage of both The Great Adventure Sale prices and the added flexibility that comes with using FTCs during the sale,” says Green.
