A report in the UK Defence Journal is waring UK residents that The Royal Air Force will be on high alert from now until the end of the month in order to track what is described as an ‘expected’ unregistered cargo aircraft, thought to be from the Arctic region, flying over the UK, it appears often erratically.
What was assumed to be an aircraft is understood form tracking technology to have highly sophisticated behavioural intelligence gathering capabilities of the type that is able to sort British citizens into a ‘list’, determining their behaviour over the last year and applying that to its activities.
This has happened in the past with around a year ago an RAF Typhoon aircraft escorted a Lapland registered aircraft over the UK’s major cities, with the pilot of the other craft appearing to be under the influence of alcohol and very “festive”, with this type of activity particularly dangerous due to the sheer volume of cargo the aircraft was carrying.
UK Ministry of Defence spokesperson Mr Christopher Cringle said, “Interception is part of what the RAF does regularly” adding, “We have to identify and confirm who or what is flying through our airspace or approaching our airspace and since the craft appears at the same time this time each year, we have a fairly good idea who will be flying it but we don’t take any chances.”
He also said that on previous intelligence this activity is expected to be repeated towards the end of the month, it looks like on the 24th through to the 25th.
Leaked imagery of a previous incident in which a Voyager tanker, equipped to supply brandy, minced pies and carrots was launched to intercept, what was thought to be a red aircraft but turned out to be a rather different craft.
The Ministry of Defence also used satellites with infrared sensors to track the craft last time this happened and it is understood that mysteriously, the heat from an animal’s red nose was clearly visible, with at this point the Prime Minister was contacted and a decision was made that the RAF aircraft should begin escorting the craft over every British city, town and village.
