Not that it really affects us Australians because we cannot get there, both TUI and Cost have suspended the cruises of TUI’s Mein Schiff 6 and Costa’s Costa Deliziosa in Greece, following the announcement of a new Greek lockdown and further restrictions to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

TUI’s Mien Schiff 6 is operating one further cruise from Corfu, but without visiting any ports, so all sea days, then suspending its cruises for the remainder of the month, with the Greek government lockdown announcement taking effect on Saturday, November 7.

TUI added that they as a result of the company’s hygiene and health protocols and the short-term nature of the cruise, they had received a special permit to carry out the trip to Greece from November 8 to 14.

It is reported that the company has also cancelled its Germany-based program, but is cruising in the Canary Island in November.

Costa Deliziosa’s cruises call at Trieste, Katakolon, Athens, Iraklion, Bari, with the cruise currently underway ending on November 7, in Trieste, with Costa Deliziosa then pausing cruising for seven weeks, cancelling her November 7, 14, 21 and 28, and the December 5, 12 and 19 cruises.

Costa says that Costa Deliziosa’s resumption of cruising is scheduled for December 26, visiting Trieste, Bari, Brindisi and Catania, with further destinations to be added soon.
