In conjunction with the 63rd National Day of Malaysia, Berjaya Hotels & Resorts’ (“BHR”) Jojo Flight enlivened the celebration with its 100th landing on Redang Island. Jojo Flight, an ATR 42-500 aircraft operated and managed by Berjaya Air (“BAir”), departed from Subang Airport at 10:00 AM and touched down at Redang Airport at 11:10 AM. This significant milestone was witnessed and graced by guests who were travelling to The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort (“The Taaras”) for holidays.

Onboard the Jojo Flight, the cabin crew announced that they were now on the 100th flight to Redang Island and thanked everyone for being part of this remarkable occasion. Upon their arrival at Redang Airport, all the guests and crew members proudly raised their Jalur Gemilang. Each of the guests will also receive a commemorative 100th landing group photo as their memento of this meaningful event.

Jojo Flight’s inaugural trip to Redang Island was on 20 February 2020. After the Malaysian Government eases interstate travel from 10 June 2020 onwards, BHR has started offering daily flights from Subang Airport to Redang Airport whole year round to encourage domestic tourism and provide a hassle-free travelling experience to those who desire to experience the crystal-clear water and white powdery sand of The Taaras.

“We’re excited to have made it to our 100th landing milestone and glad that many have chosen to fly direct with us to travel to The Taaras. The daily flights will continue to be available all year round to enable our guests to enjoy the beauty of Redang Island at any time of the year,” said Ms Angie CC Ng, Group Director – Commercial of BHR.

The Taaras is now offering attractive packages which include accommodation, daily breakfast and dinner, return flights from Subang Airport to Redang Airport as well as return shuttle from Redang Airport to The Taaras. Alternatively, charter flights with customized services are also available upon request. For more information, visit https://www.thetaaras.com/fly-me-away
