Joel Katz has 25 years of international experience in the cruise and hotel industries. In his role as Managing Director of CLIA Australasia, Katz heads a Sydney-based team that is responsible for the promotion and development of the cruise industry in the region through advocacy activities, trade relations, and industry professional development and training, on behalf of CLIA Ocean and River Cruise Lines, and our Trade and Executive Partners.

 

Mr Philip James Hoffmann, AM

Managing Director – Phil Hoffmann Travel

Phil Hoffmann, a doyen of the sector, has an unbiased global vision for the travel and tourism industry. A proud South Australian who travels the world as an unofficial ambassador flying the flag for both South Australian and Australian tourism, he was awarded an Order of Australia in 2012 for his contribution to the travel and tourimsiIndustries.

Vice President Sales & Marketing / Australia & New Zealand – Genting Cruise Lines

With over 20 years of industry experience to her current role as Vice President Sales and Marketing, Australia and New Zealand for Dream Cruises & Crystal Cruises, Brigita recently successfully executed the inaugural and first non-Asia deployment of Explorer Dream to Australia and New Zealand.  She has also worked with Star Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Lines & Dream Cruises and in 2017, In 2017, Brigita was also nominated in the Australian Travel Weekly – Women in Travel Power List.

 

Allison Haworth West

Chief Executive Officer – Captain Cook Cruises Fiji Islands

Allison Haworth West is the CEO of Captain Cook Cruises Fiji Islands, which owns and operates the 130 passenger small ship Reef Endeavour operating 3 – 11 night cruises in the Fiji Islands including the remote Lau Group, in addition to three sailing vessels offering day cruises to the company’s private island Tivua Island as well as dinner cruises, charters and events.   Allison is the President of the Australia Fiji Business Council, has a degree in Business Management from the University of Technology Sydney, is a graduate of the Institute of Company Directors and is an Ambassador for CMH Heliskiing in Canada.

Damian Perry

Managing Director, APAC Region at Hurtigruten

Hurtigruten Asia-Pacific Managing Director Damian Perry has spent more than two decades in the travel industry in a variety of leadership roles including in sales, product and as CEO. He’s worked with many of Australia’s most well-known travel brands including Intrepid Travel, Flight Centre, and Peak Adventure Travel.

Scott Ellis

General Manager Sales, the APT Travel Group.

Scott Ellis has been with the APT Travel Group for over 15 years and held a number of roles with the business. Currently the General Manager of Sales, his experience has also included being National Sales Manager, State Sales Manager and Business Development Manager.

Embedded within the travel industry, his career began as an agent with Harvey World Travel and Traveland. He can also be heard weekly on 3AW radio as their resident travel expert.

 

Carl Frier

Management Consultant to the Dreamlines Group for Australia

Until recently, when Dreamlines acquired Cruise 1st, Carl was the MD Australasia of Cruise 1st, which from 2013 he grew into being one of the leading cruise retail businesses in region. Carl is now a management consultant for Australia to Dreamlines, which was established in 2012 and is the world’s fastest-growing cruise portal, currently operating in 11 markets worldwide and the only online cruise portal with a global footprint, offering more than 30,000 cruise vacations.

Carl’s background also includes wholesale, as CEO of NRMA travel assets, and with GDS, airlines and franchising, in addition to distribution and fulfilment.

Swiss national Sven Zika runs Sales & Marketing at Pandaw River Expeditions.
He’s been with Pandaw for over 5 years and is based in Siem Reap Cambodia where he has been living for more than 10 years.

Before joining the river cruise operator he had different roles in travel agencies, tour Operating and DMC’s based all over the world including Switzerland, New York and Cambodia.

Lisa Pile

Vice President, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Australia and New Zealand.

Regent Seven Seas commercially focused leader, Lisa is sales and marketing professional with more than 20 years of senior leadership experience, having managed both commercial and marketing teams for leading global luxury hospitality brands across the Asia Pacific, China, UK, Europe, and Africa, with a career that has taken Lisa all over the globe.  Lisa has extensive knowledge and affinity with the Asia Pacific and Chinese markets, finding both, challenging and extremely rewarding. Lisa excels in creating and leading dynamic high performing teams, connecting people, building cultural bridges, setting high standards and delivering optimal results.

Jason Worth

Vice President, Oceania Cruises Australia & New Zealand.

Jason leads the brand in Australia and New Zealand, with always a personal affinity to Oceania Cruises, sailing more than six times on the brands’ small, luxurious ships.  Prior Jason was Vice President Finance & Accounting – Asia Pacific at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings and through its predecessor, Prestige Cruise Holdings, held roles in Finance, Treasury and Investor Relations and previously worked in KPMG’s Financial Due Diligence group and PwC’s Audit and Tax groups. He  has an MS Accounting and MBA from Northeastern University, a BA from the University of Miami and is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida and Massachusetts.

Stewart Williams

Regional Manager, APAC, Celestyal Cruises

A passionate cruising and travel enthusiast, I have spent most of my working life within the Travel Industry.  For the last 2 years, I have been working with Celestyal Cruises, Greece, in order to support and develop all of the APAC accounts in the region and increase the visibility of the Celestyal Cruises brand to both the Travel Trade and end Consumers.  Previously to that, spending 26 years as the Managing Director, Australasia at The Globus Family of Brands, which incorporated a number of international Touring Brands and Avalon Waterways, River Cruising.

Anthony Laver 

Group General Manager, Sales & Marketing Scenic Group Australiasia

Anthony Laver, Group General Manager, Australasia is responsible for the sales and marketing of the Scenic Group portfolio of Luxury Ocean Cruises, River Cruises and Land Tours.

Working closely with the global the executive, Anthony manages a professional team specialising in luxury travel, delivering integrated multi-channel programs with key stakeholders, across the travel trade for the Scenic, Emerald and Evergreen brands.

Over the past 28 years, he has established a reputation as a strategic marketing specialist in high profile global tourism, major events, intellectual property rights, sports and entertainment. Prior to joining Scenic Group, Anthony was the GM, Marketing for Destination NSW and he has also held GM Marketing positions in multinational companies such as Westfield Holdings, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Volkswagen Group China.
