As lockdown restrictions continue to ease in parts of Australia, car-rental company Hertz is encouraging Australians to get out and discover Australia with the launch of its latest campaign, #backontheroad.
Hertz has launched the campaign to help kick-start the tourism industry and promote travel within Australia. The campaign’s aim is to encourage Australians to get ‘back on the road’ and use road trips and travel with a rental car as a safe and reliable way to explore what’s on their own doorstep. The campaign includes a range of discounted car rental offers, as well as safe driving messaging.
Hertz has over 200 locations nationwide, located in towns and cities in every state. It also has a range of vehicles available for hire, including fuel-efficient hybrid vehicles, high-performance and luxury cars, and vehicles that fit the whole family; all perfect for seeing the sites of Australia through the car window.
Eoin MacNeill, Vice President, Hertz Asia Pacific, said: “We decided to launch this campaign to help give the Australian tourism industry a much-needed boost and to encourage Aussies to get back on the road and travel when and where it is safe to do so.
“With international travel likely to be off the cards for some time, now is an ideal time to visit areas of this beautiful country that many have not yet explored. From national parks to some of the world’s most stunning beaches, there’s plenty to see in Australia.
“Hiring a car is a safe and reliable form of transport and travellers can plan their road trip on their own terms. As always, we encourage Australians to travel safely by ensuring they always wear a seatbelt, adhere to the speed limit and stick to guidelines set out by local transport governments. More information on safe driving can be found on the Hertz website.”
