Aqua Bar at Anantara Siam Bangkok in partnership with Diageo, one of the world’s largest beverage companies, will host a takeover by some of Asia’s top bars, as ranked by the World’s 50 Best Bars Academy, for six nights only in July 2020.
Dubbed ‘Asia’s 50 Best Bar Takeover at AQUA’, the event will see a different bartending team serve up their signature creations from 7 pm – 11 pm. An opportunity to experience unique boundary-pushing creations using Tanqueray No. Ten, Johnnie Walker Gold Label, Ketel One and other labels from Diageo’s Reserve, the event will showcase some of the top names of Bangkok’s bar scene in a scenic alfresco setting.
16-17 July: Backstage Cocktail Bar
Set up by a collective of Thailand’s leading bartenders, Backstage takes its mixology seriously with clever creations, such as Love at First Sight – tequila, mezcal, Port wine, strawberry, purple carrot, lime and Tabasco.
23-24 July: Vesper
Riding high in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2019, Vesper takes its name from James Bond’s favourite martini. Drinks are strong and the menu is made up of cocktails inspired by great works of art, alongside sections dedicated to spirit categories and even aperitifs.
30-31 July: Tropic City
Reinterpreting “tropical” in its widest sense, with inspiration coming from Southeast Asia, the Caribbean and even the Bahamas, the menu has a strong focus on rum.
Aqua Bar is located on the ground floor at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel, open nightly from 6.00 pm – midnight.
