Spread the love

Back in January 2020, WalletHub named San Francisco the Healthiest Place to Live in the United States. People in this city know that it’s essential to take care of the body and the mind, even when social distancing or self-quarantining.

From free online Zoom workouts for fitness veterans to casual morning yoga rituals, here are some San Francisco-based fitness opportunities to do from home, wherever that may be.

You can start with two at-home classes for $20 and scale up to $75 for a full week’s worth. Want to dip your toes in the water and see if it’s for you? Try one of Barry’s free live workouts posted twice a day on their Instagram stories.

Their 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. classes nearly every day of the week will allow you to build up a routine. For the full class schedule of Zoom workouts, see the Fitness Livestream Class Schedule. If you’re feeling generous, the JCCSF encourages you to donate to their COVID-19 relief fund.

Omni Fight Club Livermore

If you find yourself tense from work and the non-stop COVID-19 news, a session with Livermore Omni Fight Club is the perfect way to blow off steam. Owner Dennis Dumas Jr. has taken his club online with daily workouts posted on Facebook. Passwords to access each workout via Zoom and step-by-step instructions are posted for all to access. You’ll need weights, bands, body bags, and more for these workouts. This one is for those with a serious home gym.

Orange Theory

Maybe you’ll be ready to hit the dance floor and show off your new moves once shelter-in-place orders are lifted.

Free Your Mind

Of course, mental wellness is as important as physical wellness. Here are some San Francisco-based meditation practices for you to try at home.

Herst Wellness

Co-founders Melissa and Chad Herst are proudly offering free meditations via Zoom on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 6 p.m. PST.
