Celebrity-loved Vive Cake Boutique is launching a bespoke collection of sweet treats and tea set menu in celebration of Mother’s Day, from 1 to 31 May 2020. Designed and curated to honour the different, unique, and wonderful personalities of mothers, VIVE’s adoring collection features creative collaborations with two vigorous brands – Woke Up Like This (WULT) and Origami Florist.

“Women are the epitome of beauty, and their personalities are like flowers – always in bloom,” shares Founder, Ms Vivien Lau. “Our collaborations with Woke Up Like This and Origami Florist, aims at creating a unique, one-stop gifting experience for the special woman in everyone’s lives.”

VIVE’s inaugural partnership with beauty brand Woke Up Like This exalts girl power. Co-founded by influencers Jenn Lam and Tawnia Lai, WULT empowers confidence and individuality in women, through its colourful cosmetics that marry function and fun. The VIVE x WULT collaboration showcases these all-important values through an aesthetically pleasing and delectable whole cake and a not-to-be-missed tea set experience.

A specially designed whole cake VIVE x WULT GAL PAL AGOGO (HK$580, 1lb) leads the collection. This vintage cake calls to mind the yesteryears, inspired by the colourful childhood memories of Jenn and Tawnia.  A delightful based speckled with funfetti colouring is accented with fluorescent orange buttercream.  “Melted” ice cream “drips” from the top, where whipped orange cream topped with Maraschino cherries reminds one of the sundaes served at nostalgic diners. Available in Vanilla Sponge Cake with Mango and Yuzu Mousse and Earl Grey with Earl Grey Cream Cheese flavours.

A delicious VIVE x WULT MAMA AGOGO Tea Set Experience is the perfect and playful treat for those who are blessed to also call their mum their best friend. A variety of savoury reinterpreted teatime classic finger sandwiches including Chicken and Walnut Salad with Wheat Bread and Ricotta Cheese, Fig, and Honey with Wheat Bread start the culinary interlude. Followed by delightful sweet treats such as Caramel Chocolate Cake, White Chocolate Mousse Cake with Strawberry Compote, Panna Cotta with Rhubarb Jelly and Rhubarb Cubes, and tea time quintessential, the Raisin Scone. VIVE x WULT’s Mother’s Day themed cake and tea set come with hand-picked WULT’s signature sample items, including two of each of Blue Moon Sunfluff, Peachy Preach Sunfluff, and Good Nood Sunfluff, in 5mL sample sizes, and two HK$50 WULT coupons (estimated value of HK$238).

For the mother who truly is her daughter’s best friend, the Bond of Love (HK$880, 1lb) is inspired by the growth of a relationship between mother and daughter, from young to old. Featuring a clean and simple canvas of white frosting, the cake is adorned with a bouquet of symbolic flowers, including yellow roses and pompon mum. Like flowers that bloom with time with connected roots that are unseen, the Florist Cake captures the feeling of life, warmth, and joyfulness.

The artisanal cake collection in collaboration with Origami Florist is inspired by the legendary Coco Chanel and superhero Wonder Woman, celebrates mums with equally iconic, but different personalities – featuring the artsy florist’s handmade floral bouquet, made with stunning preserved flowers from Japan.

The Timeless Coco (HK$680, 0.5lbs; HK$980, 1lb), a classically chic cake celebrates powerful, admirable, and influential women. Inspired by the French designer and icon, ‘Coco Chanel’, famous both for being a powerful trailblazer thanks to her timeless design, The Timeless Coco cake is simple yet sophisticated. A pale pink cake is accented with the right amount of elegant accessories, from a delicate pearl to miniature Francophone bow. Atop the cake sits a bouquet of beautiful white roses.

A dedicate floral arrangement can be added to The Timeless Coco cake for an enhanced gift experience. Presented in a delicate pink basket that reflects the subtle colour palette of the cake, with a mix of white and pink flowers.  Made with preserved flowers, allowing the beautiful memory to last longer.  The Timeless Coco Gift Set by VIVE and Origami Florist is priced HK$1,180 (0.5 lbs cake with floral arrangement) and HK$1,580 (1lb cake with floral arrangement).

For pop of colour and a dose of humour, the Wonder “Wo-Mum” (HK$780, 1lb) is a ‘Wonder Woman’ inspired cake honouring compassionate yet strong female superheroes.  Lusty red buttercream serves as the base colour of the tiered cake, while comic panels of Wonder Woman in action wraps around the cake.  A fun, bold statement, “Wonder Wo-Mum” sits atop the cake.

Adding complement to the Wonder “Wo-Mum” cake is Origami Florist’s vibrant floral arrangement.  Featuring a bouquet of red roses and blue flowers in a cobalt vase, the Wonder “Wo-Mum” Gift Set by VIVE and Origami Florist is one that packs a bold punch, priced HK$1,480, which includes a 1lb cake with the floral arrangement.

The Bond of Love, The Timeless Coco, and Wonder “Wo-Mum” cakes are available in seven of VIVE’s much-loved flavours, including Red Velvet Buttercake with Cream Cheese, Earl Grey Cake with Earl Grey Cream Cheese, Banana Cake with Chocolate Buttercream and Crunchies, Hazelnut Cake with Hazelnut Buttercream with Chopped Hazelnut, Vanilla Sponge Cake with Mango and Yuzu Mousse, Rich Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Ganache, and Pistachio Cake with Pistachio Buttercream and Chopped Pistachio.

The Timeless Coco in 0.5 lbs is available in Vanilla Sponge Cake with Mango and Yuzu Mousse or Earl Grey Cake with Earl Grey Cream Cheese only.

A collection of VIVE’s handmade cookies and Origami Florist floral box also make for a wonderful Mother’s Day gift.  Each gift set comes with four tins of cookies with a choice of The Timeless Coco or Wonder “Wo-Mum” floral arrangement.  The cookie gift set with floral box features VIVE’s signature flavours: Peony (Earl Grey and Cashew Nut), Tiffany (Lemon and Coffee), Rosa (Cranberries and Rose), and Gardenia (Strawberry and Almond Chocolate), priced HK$528.
