To support the families of our employees and also the local community in current situation, InterContinental Bali Resort has decided to sew homemade face masks. Not only Bali but the whole world is in need of face masks and doing small things can have big impact.

These homemade face masks produced by the skilled resort’s tailor team under Housekeeping Department are made from recycled linen and every day the team is committed to produce maximum of masks to make sure that we can distribute as many as possible.

Radka Janotova, Area Director of Sales & Marketing says “The inspiration for this initiative came actually from my home country where the campaign, My mask protects you, your mask protects me, is having a great success among the people.  Our sewing masks are not medical grade, but they can provide certain level of protection for those who still need to interact with the public, especially our employees. What we found out is that there is a lot of people desperate for face masks,” Radka said. “We came to the conclusion that any type of protective mask is better than nothing at all and we are glad that our staff can produce it.”

InterContinental Bali Resort strives to continue its solid commitment to any Sustainability and Social Responsibility activity which had been involved since few years back including donation to local orphanage, zero waste management program with Green School, supporting local artist and home industries to showcase their products and many more.
