The President of the United States has signed a Presidential Proclamation which suspends the entry of most foreign nationals who have been in certain European countries at any point during the 14 days prior to their scheduled arrival to the United States. This order applies to all flights departing for the United States after 11:59 p.m. ET on March 13.

These countries, known as the Schengen Area, include: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. This is in addition to existing restrictions from the People’s Republic of China and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The proclamation does not apply to the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The proclamation also does not apply to legal permanent U.S. residents or immediate family members of U.S. citizens. Any U.S. citizen or lawful U.S. permanent resident returning to the U.S. who has traveled to one of the Schengen Area countries within the previous 14 days (including connecting flights) must enter the U.S. through an approved airport. Foreign nationals who have traveled to one of the designated countries within the last 14 days will be denied permission to travel to the U.S.

For those trying to get home from Europe, we have capped fares between the U.S. and Europe. We will continue to fly our regular schedule from Europe to the U.S. through March 19. After that, we expect to fly daily to Zurich, Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam, Manchester and Edinburgh, maintain multiple flights to Frankfurt and Munich, and operate 18 daily flights to and from London, three to Dublin and less than daily service to Lisbon, all while continuing to monitor demand. We are reviewing our flight and crew schedules to comply with the administration’s travel restrictions.

We currently have waivers in place for any customers traveling domestically and internationally through April 30. We will continue to monitor the situation and will provide you with the most recent information we have as it develops.
