PREMIER Fijian resorts, Castaway Island, Fiji and Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort recently partnered with Tourism Fiji to promote the region to the ever growing Japanese market through a three-day roadshow held at the central Keio Plaza Hotel in Tokyo.

Japan is an emerging and important market for both Outrigger Fiji properties and with two directly weekly flights from Narita to Nadi, it made sense to support both Japan and Tourism Fiji Asia for a third consecutive year, said Area Director of Sales and Marketing, Outrigger Fiji properties Mr Ben Johnson.

“Since the recommencement of the Fiji Airways direct flights in 2018 from Narita to Nadi we believe the Japanese market to be strategic one in our effort to continue to reach international markets and showcase all that makes Fiji a memorable and immersive holiday destination. Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort and Castaway Island, Fiji truly encompass the Bula Spirit and we look forward to welcoming more guests from this region to our beautiful resorts.’

Ms Kathy Koyamaibole, Nadi-based regional manager of Tourism Fiji, said the three day trade roadshow was highly beneficial for all 15 partners involved, as it created a professional opportunity to showcase the destination to key industry contacts and market the region to specialised businesses.

“To be able to meet face-to-face and communicate our key messages is invaluable. These meetings will assist with the growth of the Japanese tourist numbers to Fiji, which have been constantly increasing over recent years and which we hope will continue to rise in years to come.”
