Central African Wilderness Safaris (CAWS), responsible for running a collection of lodges and camps and providing safari tours and experiences in Malawi have released their latest newsletter. This month’s newsletter focusses on the festive season now upon us and how CAWS are getting into the Christmas spirit.

It’s been yet another busy month for CAWS as they start gearing up for the festive season. The team have a host of exciting menus, guided tours and other holiday activities in store, and Christmas and New Year’s are set to be truly memorable. Chintheche Inn is also now ready to host end-of-year cocktail events and corporate parties.

If you are staying at Mvuu Camp and Lodge, you can now experience Liwonde National park by air on a fifteen-minute helicopter ride. The scenic ride will take you over the Shire River and key areas of the park, offering striking aerial vistas of Liwonde’s landscapes, whilst enabling you to spot different species and watch wildlife movements from the air. This new activity is conducted by African Parks and flights will take off from the helipad at Chinguni. Helicopter rides can be combined with a game drive or boat safari.  Rides cost USD 200 per person and are subject to availability. A minimum of two passengers are required per ride. Terms and conditions apply. For more information, contact +265 882 089 168

In other news, Root to Fruit are offering individuals and businesses the opportunity to BECOME CARBON NEUTRAL in their daily life, travel adventures or business operations. CAWS are encouraging guests to give the gift of a batch of trees this year. Trees can be bought in batches to suit varying budgets. You can buy a gift of 10 trees for USD 20 or 100 trees for USD 200. Over 10 years, each batch of 10 trees will offset 2000kg of carbon dioxide emissions.
