Ride the World Motorcycle Tours launched its new branding and website this week at an industry evening in Sydney. Both travel trade and motorcycling media attended the by-invitation-only launch at the new offices of The Travel Industry Hub, located at North Sydney. Partners in Ride the World Motorcycle Tours, Walter Nand and David Reeves, have many years of motorcycling experience between them, and even more years of experience in the travel industry.

“Back when I started riding motorcycles, touring was considered something for the die-hard bikers who took the roads with little more than their motorbike and a swag,” said Nand, “but those days are gone. The modern motorcyclist wants modern conveniences, if not luxury accommodation. They want their gear safely transported by an escort vehicle, and their partners want the option of a comfortable seat in a car, rather than be required to travel as a pillion for the entire journey.”

The need for operators in this space was echoed by the editor of Australian Motorcyclist magazine, “The Bear” Thoeming, who indicated that his publication was seeing strong demand for motorcycle travel.

Crooked Compass founder Lisa Pagotto who attended the launch, and was thanked by Reeves and Nand for providing business guidance, commented on where she saw the demand growing: “India is great for motorcycles, especially through the Himalayan areas, also Pakistan through the mountains, and Nepal”.

A prominent sponsor of the evening, co-founder and MD of The Travel Industry Hub, Richard Taylor congratulated Walter and David for their hard work on the launch and thanked them for supporting The Travel Industry Hub with their industry event.

Ride the World Motorcycle Tours provides both inbound and outbound motorcycle touring.
