Visit Dallas and Visit Fort Worth are co-sponsoring a week of Texas Music under the Texas Music Takeover banner in an event from 28 April – 3 May 2020.
Ten musicians are coming down to perform at music venues in Sydney and at Meatstock the Music and Barbecue event being held at the Showground.
This is a first time visit by this group of 10 musicians under this banner, attendees at the coming Visit Expos will get a taste of this Texas style music with Sam Riggs and Joey Green doing some numbers at the shows.
The six-day concert series will spotlight nine Texas musicians in venues throughout Sydney. The roster includes Vaden Todd Lewis (The Toadies), Sam Riggs, Luke Wade, Austin Allsup, Grady Spencer, Joey Green, Bri Bagwell, Jonathan Terrell, and Erick Willis. Award-winning radio and tv host Justin Frazell of 95.9 The Ranch and Texas Red Dirt Roads (TXRDR) will return as the Texas Music Takeover host for the third year.
The 2020 venues include a VIP Welcome event at the Gilt Lounge, Metro Lair, Manning Bar, Max Watts, and the Meatstock Festival in Sydney. Tickets are now on sale.
The Texas Music Takeover, produced by Fort Worth-based Rival Entertainment, sets out to create a once-in-a-lifetime experience for Texas musicians and their biggest domestic and international fans by showcasing a taste of Texas in Sydney. Rival Entertainment began creating trips years ago to bring bands, brands and their fans together ten years ago starting in Cancun, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Ireland, London, and Bahamas. Past and present artists include Pat Green, Cody Canada, Wade Bowen, Josh Abbott, Casey Donahew, Jason Boland, Koe Wetzel, Parker McCollum, Sam Riggs, Mike Ryan, Brandon Rhyder, Luke Wade, Austin Allsup, Sean McConnell, Grady Spencer, Joey Green, William Clark Green, Kylie Rae Harris, Jonathan Terrell, Roger Creager, Eric Middleton, Randy Brown, Abraham Alexander, Jonathan Terrell, and many others.
