The NRMA has continued its holiday park portfolio expansion with the purchase of BIG4 Sunshine Resort at South West Rocks, located on the popular NSW mid-north coast.

Situated in one of NSW’s most popular family holiday destinations, the renamed NRMA South West Rocks Holiday Resort has now been brought under the stable of NRMA Parks and Resorts.

This will bring the number of NRMA owned and managed parks and resorts to 50 across the country, with 31 NRMA branded.

NRMA South West Rocks Holiday Resort is ideal for families looking for a relaxing holiday with great value for money. It boasts Shipwreck Island Water Park, a year-round kids club, putt putt golf, tennis, go cart hire and an undercover jumping pillow that’s sure to keep the littlies and big kids entertained for hours.

The park is located between a lagoon and a creek, and a short walk to the beach via Fishos Walking Track. Accommodation options include uniquely designed lodges featuring photographic murals of the surrounding national park and well-appointed interiors.

Dog-lovers can now also bring their four-legged friends to NRMA South West Rocks, with select caravan and camping sites available for families travelling with pets. South West Rocks boasts numerous dog friendly beaches including Trial Bay, which can be accessed directly from the park.

NRMA Parks and Resorts CEO, Paul Davies, said providing families with quality holiday accommodation while boosting Australia’s domestic tourism industry was a strategic pillar for the NRMA.

“The NRMA is committed to offering uniquely Australian experiences to our Members and guests at an affordable price,” Mr Davies said.

“The purchase of the Sunshine Resort in South West Rocks directly aligns with the NRMA’s vision of boosting local tourism industries; we know that for every dollar spent at a holiday park, $1.38 is then invested in the local economy.

“It’s more important than ever we support regional communities doing it particularly tough. These communities might be battling drought but they are very much still open for business. The NRMA is urging all holiday makers to jump in the car and explore our beautiful country while supporting regional Australia.”

For the many families who enjoy road-tripping, NRMA South West Rocks Holiday Resort is an easy half-day drive from either Sydney or Brisbane, with so many great destinations to stop at along the way.

The NRMA has this week also welcomed RAC Esperance Holiday Park on the picturesque WA south-east coast under its management portfolio.

NRMA Members are eligible for privileges (stay 4/pay 3, or 10% off for shorter stays) at all NRMA branded holiday parks, and members of other auto clubs such as RACQ are also eligible for a 10% discount. Details: https://www.nrmaparksandresorts.com.au/
