Crystal was bestowed the prestigious accolade of ‘Luxury Travel Brand of the Year’ at The Travel Awards 2019 this past Friday evening at Sydney’s The Venue.

Now in its second year, the consumer and travel-trade facing The Travel Awards celebrate wholesalers, destinations, airlines, tourism boards, cruise lines, retail agencies and the myriad of other companies that make up the travel industry.

As principal sponsor for consecutive years, Crystal invited more than 600 industry professionals to walk the Crystal-teal carpet and enjoy a pre-dinner glass of Champagne in the reception area, complete with branded light show. Later in the evening, Crystal was awarded ‘Luxury Travel Brand of the Year’, further cementing the company’s reputation as the World’s Most Awarded Luxury Cruise Line.

“We are honoured to be recognised for yet another year at The Travel Awards. Crystal’s commitment to its signature hallmarks – incomparable service, abundant space, superior quality, numerous choices and fascinating destinations – continue to resonate with our guests and travel industry partners.” said Karen Christensen, Crystal’s Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Australasia. “Crystal offers a wealth of choice in terms of luxury holiday experiences – by Ocean, River, Yacht and Expedition – and this ‘Luxury Travel Brand of the Year’ award is representative of this. And as we look ahead to Crystal’s 30th Anniversary of award-winning personal luxury in 2020, it is yet another example of Crystal setting the bar for excellence.”

In 2015, Crystal announced plans to expand the company’s fleet over the following years, as well as broaden its offerings into new markets. The Crystal portfolio now comprises Crystal Cruises, Crystal River Cruises, Crystal Yacht Cruises and Crystal Expedition Cruises, with new vessels set to launch over the next several years including the anticipated Crystal Endeavor in 2020. Throughout the venture, Crystal has expressed its continued dedication to the elevated standard of service and attention to detail across all brand extensions, expanding on its offerings of acclaimed butler service aboard Ocean, River and Yacht experiences.

Judged by more than 50 of Australia’s most experienced travel industry alumni and experts from the marketing sector, the thirty-seven categories covered the full gamut of the travel industry, with Crystal named as a finalist in three categories including Luxury Travel Brand of the Year; Ocean Cruise Line of the Year; and River Cruise Line of the Year.
