The Discover Melbourne tourism booking service is now open at 261 Little Collins Street. Officially opening their doors on Thursday 28 November, the new service sees the return of a direct-to-visitor, face-to-face tourism booking service in Melbourne’s CBD.
The brainchild of tourism industry expert, Chris Ritchie, the aim of the store is to provide a one-stop-shop for both local and international visitors seeking tourism experiences within both Melbourne and regional Victoria.
In addition to providing a service for visitors, the new store also supports tourism and hospitality businesses across Victoria by giving them a centralised means of connecting with, and in turn selling their products to, the many visitors who arrive in Melbourne every day.
Discover Melbourne will showcase each of Victoria’s regions through dedicated displays and distribution of marketing collateral. The store’s management are actively inviting expressions of interest from Regional Tourism Boards and operators to help build their content in-store and drive visitor dispersal into the state’s regions.
The store will be staffed by a team of trained tourism experts who will provide travel recommendations to some of the many millions of domestic and international visitors to Melbourne each year.
The store will be open from 9:00am to 5:30pm daily. Tours and experiences can also be booked by speaking with the store’s tourism experts on 1300 525 095. Online bookings will soon also be available online at discovermelbourne.com.au.
