Touch of Spice are introducing a new level of luxury accommodation to Christchurch

Aptly timed alongside American Airlines launching their new direct flight from LA to Christchurch, Touch of Spice are bringing a new level of luxury accommodation to the region. Dancing on Moonlight, the newest member of ‘The Residence Collection’ by Touch of Spice, is a 3-bedroom luxuriously appointed villa, offering guests plush (ensuite) bedrooms, spacious living areas, majestic gardens and above all, complete privacy. The cabana spa is nestled amongst perfectly manicured gardens, with a pathway that leads through to a private 9-hole golf course.

Spend time together, celebrate and enjoy some much-needed R&R

Dancing on Moonlight is the perfect place to start a South Island adventure, get together with the family to celebrate that milestone or spend quality time with good friends – three of the top travel motivations outlined in Virtuoso’s 2020 Luxe Report. Enjoy dinner cooked by a private chef, spend time together al fresco under the trees in the lavish gardens or sit in the library room with a delicious Pegasus Bay Pinot Noir.  Use the privacy of the villa to escape the outside world, roam the gardens at your leisure and let the Dancing on Moonlight team show you around their working horse-stud farm, orchard and 9-hole golf course.

As close as it gets

As with all Touch of Spice villas we ensure there is plenty to do in the surrounding region. A short 15-minute drive from Christchurch airport, just over an hours drive from stunning Akaroa and a quick heli flight to the Mount Hutt ski fields, Dancing on Moonlight is not only easy to access but the places to explore from the property are endless. With a helipad in the garden, adventures are by no means limited by where you can drive to.

Creating memories that will last a lifetime

We have partnered with Tim Murdoch and Richie McCaw at Christchurch Helicopters to put together exclusive experiences for our travelers that come and stay at Dancing on Moonlight. Lift off from the front lawn and soar over the green patchwork of the Canterbury Plains. With wine country ahead and the Southern Alps on their tail, guests will head towards the sparkling east coast and start their adventure, spying on the sunbathing seals and whales from the air.

The sustainable side of a stay at Dancing on Moonlight

Dancing on Moonlight is New Zealand’s first ever energy positive exclusive use luxury accommodation. If you are worried that means compromising luxury you couldn’t be more wrong. The luxurious three-bedroom villa, cabana spa and private 9-hole golf course are all powered by over 1000 solar panels that you wouldn’t even know were there.

Meeting a growing demand for luxury accommodation in Christchurch

International flights into Christchurch now run from Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Singapore, Guangzhou (in China) and now LA. Christchurch and the Canterbury Region is continuing to see passenger numbers grow faster than the national average, with the luxury sector driving a huge part of this. Christchurch Airport Chief Aeronautical and Commercial Officer Justin Watson says that “Americans who enter the country through Christchurch Airport spend 32% more and stay 34% longer than if they arrive elsewhere,”. We believe Dancing on Moonlight will offer a truly luxury New Zealand experience to these international visitors.
