Ingenia Communities firmly positions itself as an industry leader in the tourism sector after cleaning up at the recent Caravan and Camping Industry Association New South Wales Awards and Queensland Tourism Awards.

Ingenia Communities took home five wins and one commendation at the Caravan and Camping Industry Association awards – across their holiday parks, independent living communities and head office staff – and received a Gold Queensland Tourism Award for their Ingenia Holidays Cairns Coconut resort.

This year marks the second year in a row for a number of holiday park wins, and Ingenia Communities Chief Operating Officer Nikki Fisher said the team couldn’t be happier with the result.

“We are honoured to have parks across Queensland and New South Wales that have received awards for the second year in a row, and these parks are gaining a reputation for providing top class accommodation and facilities, as well as excellent customer service,” Ms Fisher said.

“Ingenia Holidays Cairns Coconut received a Bronze award last year at the Queensland Tourism Awards and returned for Gold this year, and our Broulee park that was recognised at the Caravan and Camping Industry Association Awards last year has returned to win ‘Employee of the Year – Holiday Park’ with Park Manager Tess Clark.

“Our team members across these locations are outstanding tourism professionals and this award is a credit to their passion for the industry and the spectacular work they do every day,” she said.

The company has also focused on a number of key elements that have contributed to the success of their holiday parks and resorts.

“In addition to maintaining excellent parks and facilities, we have recognised a number of other travel trends that are important to modern day holidaymakers – like making most of our locations pet friendly and providing high quality restaurants and cafes on site to cater for the growing ‘foodie’ market ,” Ms Fisher said.

“Our other big investment is in our people – we ensure all of our staff are genuinely passionate about the industry and love helping people create special holiday moments.”

Ingenia’s awards haul at the Camping and Caravan Industry Association Awards also extended to their growing portfolio of seniors ‘land lease’ communities – Ingenia Lifestyle – that won awards for two of their coastal New South Wales communities, as well as Ingenia’s Brand and Experience Manager Christopher Stokoe who won ‘Outstanding Contribution by a Young Achiever’.
