“Simply the best” new addition to The Broadway Collection, Tina – The Tina Turner Musical, opens at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on 7 November 2019. The musical, presented in association with Tina Turner herself, became an instant hit in London and Hamburg and is now headed for New York City.
Based on the iconic star’s life, Tina follows the rock ‘n’ roll queen from her humble beginnings in Tennessee to her transformation into a global superstar. The show also depicts Turner’s tumultuous relationship with Ike Turner and comeback to stardom in her 40s.
Additionally, the hit musical features 23 of Turner’s most popular songs, including “What’s Love Got to Do With It?”, “The Best”, Private Dancer”, “Proud Mary”, and “River Deep Mountain High”, as well as a dazzling performance by Tony Award-nominee Adrienne Warren in the lead role.
Travellers – and fans – of all ages will not want to miss Tina Turner’s inspiring story of triumph over adversity. Audiences from around the world are invited to sit back, relax and dance the night away to some of their favourite hits.
