Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia (‘UWEA’) announced today the inclusion of famed Hunter Valley winery, Tyrrell’s into the collection. The Tyrrell family has been producing outstanding wines in the Hunter Valley since 1858 and the winery is one of the oldest and most successful in the region. The historic cellar door has become a bucket-list destination for lovers of Australian wine and UWEA looks forward to promoting this Hunter Valley institution to potential visitors long into the future.

Headed up by fourth generation family member Bruce Tyrrell, Tyrrell’s is home to some of Australia’s most awarded wines including the iconic Vat 1 Semillon. Since 1971, Tyrrell’s has been awarded over 5,000 trophies and medals.
Visitors to the Tyrrell’s cellar door can enjoy award-winning wines as well as tours to experience first-hand the old oak vats and historic red cellar still in full operation, the original iron bark hut that Edward Tyrrell lived in, and the Short Flat Vineyard, home of Australia’s most awarded white wine, Vat 1 Semillon, with its vines first planted in 1923.

VIP Premium Tour & Tasting Experience: A member of the Tyrrell’s winemaking team guides an exploration of the vineyard and behind the scenes in the winery. Guests will taste wine directly from the barrel before a tutored tasting of Tyrrell’s award-winning Single Vineyard and Winemaker’s Selection wines, including current vintages and museum wines, carefully selected from the Tyrrell family’s private cellar.
The Exclusive Sacred Sites Experience: Fourth Generation, Bruce Tyrrell, or Fifth Generation, Chris Tyrrell, will host guests on a private and personalised tour of Tyrrell’s Sacred Sites vineyards. The Sacred Sites are ungrafted dry-grown vineyards which are over 100 years old. These vineyards are still producing exceptional fruit which is made into some of the most sought-after wines in Australia. The experience also includes a winery tour and barrel tasting, a tutored tasting of the Sacred Sites collection and the option to include a four-course lunch in the winery matched with some specially selected Museum wines from the Tyrrell family’s private cellar.
