23 – 25 August, Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Bank
The Brisbane Boat Show commences tomorrow (Friday) at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre South Bank, doors open from 10AM.
From tomorrow and continuing through the weekend, Queensland’s most comprehensive recreational marine exhibition is at capacity, presenting everything for the boating lover, covering cruising, ski and wakeboarding, kayaking and fishing.
The top marine dealers and manufacturers in the state and from across Australia have gathered alongside government agencies, offering visitors the chance to view and compare products, learn about the features of various watercraft, and hear about the regulations and safeguards in place to protect our state’s waterways.
Up to five million Australians enjoy recreational time on the water each year, and Queensland’s boating facilities are considered world class. Well-equipped marinas can be found locally and in regional coastal centres, so there’s high-quality infrastructure in place for boaters of all persuasions. The state continues to remain a well-established first-choice destination for cruising, long-range fishing or inshore water sports.
Darren Vaux, President of the Boating Industry Association who organise the event, said there’s no shortage of opportunities to enjoy Queensland’s magnificent coastal and inland waterways. “The Brisbane Boat Show again reflects the tremendous enthusiasm Queenslanders have for boating in all its forms. With hundreds of boats on display, and all the gear to go along with them, this event showcases the many ways individuals and families can get out on the water,” he said.
Whatever form or style of boating meets your needs, the Brisbane Boat Show presents the extensive range of marine equipment available in Australia today.
Adult tickets to the show are $15, Children $5 (under 5s are free), Family $35, Seniors & Pensioners $12. All tickets are $5 after 5pm (per person, door sales only. This offer excludes family tickets).
The popular fishing masterclasses are included with entry, as are the bumper boat rides for kids on the 35-metre boating safety pool.
