Following a substantial upturn of the energy sector in the Middle East, ATPI Marine & Energy expands its footprint to Iraq by partnering with local travel agency, Travel-Malls.
Through Travel-Malls, ATPI Marine & Energy will provide critical travel services such as travel documentation, including visas, local ground services and domestic flights. This move further supports ATPI’s ongoing expansion plan, which places a focus on localised travel solutions for energy clients in the Middle East.
Headquartered in Erbil, Travel-Malls will oversee all of ATPI’s market demand in Iraq for airline, hotel and airport transfer reservations. The travel agency also has branches in regional hubs such as Baghdad, Sulaymania, and Basra.
Andrew Waller, CEO, the ATPI Group, said:
“This partnership comes after a surge in client activity in the energy sector in the Middle East and Africa, which meant it was important for us to find an experienced local partner to service our energy clients. Working with Travel-Malls will enable us to provide the very best travel solutions for the global energy sector. Our presence in Iraq is critical to a lot of our clients and completes ATPI’s holistic service in the region.”
Alan Bahaulddin, CEO, Travel-Malls, commented:
“We’re excited to be working with such a widely respected global player as ATPI Marine & Energy. It’s a fantastic opportunity for us to flex our skills, share our local expertise and contribute to the sector as it recovers and expands again. We look forward to contributing to the services the business offers and helping to facilitate seamless itineraries so that energy crews and individual travellers can focus on what really matters to them.”
This new partnership further strengthens ATPI’s network in the Gulf region, with service locations in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait and now Iraq.
With a 100 year heritage, ATPI Marine & Energy thrives on strengthening ties with international businesses to set new standards in managing the complexities of travel, by delivering what really matters to clients. The team is strategically located in the core regions of focus for the energy industry to allow for both sector and important regional expertise.
