Spread the love

Australia’s longest-running travel specialist for Latin America, Contours Travel, has released a new brochure which aims to inspire travellers with itineraries, travel tips, unique experiences and a host of off-the-beaten-track destinations. The new brochure also includes a new section on Antarctica, with savings of up to US$2400 per couple for Antarctic adventures booked by May 31, 2019.

Packed with sample itineraries to suit all interests and budgets, the 100-page brochure is designed to inspire travellers to design their own dream holiday, which Contours Travel can package for them. As experts in Latin America, Contours also organises itineraries and packages for the clients of travel agents across Australia. Covering Cuba, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and other Latin American countries, the brochure offers descriptions of each country, cultural highlights, travel tips, accommodation choices, maps, stunning photos and special interest options – all hand-picked by Contours’ expert consultants.

Foodies can be inspired by the many sample itineraries which offer a ‘taste’ of Latin America, including the Latin Flavours itinerary, the Lima Culinary Tour, and Flavours of Mexico. Those more interested in wilderness and adventure will love the off-the-beaten-track destinations and intrepid experiences suggested, such as staying in a Mayan village or crossing the Panama Canal in a twelve-cabin boat. The brochure also gives suggestions for special interest groups such as bird watchers, architecture enthusiasts and those interested in ancient civilisations.

The brochure also includes a new Antarctica section to help travellers choose the right voyage, vessel and season to travel to the icy continent. To coincide with the release of the new brochure, Contours Travel is offering earlybird savings of up to US$2400 per couple on Antarctic cruises.

These include cruises on the Akademik Sergey Vavilov – a 96-passenger polar research vessel perfect for active options such as snowshoeing, sea kayaking, skiing and hiking, and the RCGS Resolute – a 146-passenger purpose-built vessel with a plunge pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. On either vessel and for between 11 and 20 days, passengers will explore Antarctica, South Georgia and the Falkland Islands, enjoying the breath-taking landscapes, historic huts, active science stations and beautiful wildlife including penguins, whales, elephant seals and sea lions.

The expedition cruises have several departure dates from October, 2019, to March, 2020. Bookings made before May 31, 2019, will attract an earlybird of discount from US$800 to US$1200 per person. Fares start from US$10,092 per person, twin-share, for an 11-day cruise, round-trip from Ushuaia in Argentina, including the discount.

Specialising in Latin America only and headed by Ted Dziadkiewicz, a well-travelled expert on the region, Contours Travel offers hosted group tours and tailor-made itineraries for independent travellers throughout Latin America.
